Want it Wednesday: Birthday Edition

My birthday is rapidly approaching. It is a mere 13 days away. I usually start the countdown at 113, so it really is super close in comparison to the norm.

I know you're thinking, "Oh no! 13 days??? That's not enough time to get you a present!!"

Never fear, friends. That's why I'm supplying you with Want It Wednesday!

I've done Want It Wednesday twice before (here and here) and haven't really gotten any of things things I wanted, so maybe it's bad luck? Well, whatever, let's turn that luck around.

1. Money Tree

I would prefer an already grown (and blooming) money tree, but if you just have a money tree seed, that will work too. Or I'll take cash, check, money orders...or a donation via paypal.

2. TV on DVD

I also kind of want to start Mad Men. And maybe Lost? But for now, I like rewatching old episodes of the best shows.

3. These pillows

I have the duvet and the shams, but I'm missing the matching pillows.

4. Designer Handbag

I can't even supply a picture with this one because I have no sense of fashion. Which is exactly why I need this one to be picked out. I'm definitely not a label whore. My jeans come from Forever 21. My dresses come from...Forever 21. And most of my jewelry comes from (you guessed it) Forever 21. (Excluding my Michael Kors watch.) But I need a nice handbag. A nice, designer, handbag. (I don't even know what designers make handbags. Whatever.)

And don't worry. If you don't make the 13 day deadline, I'll still accept birthday presents all year 'round. Happy soon to be birthday to me!

Music, Writing...but not writing music.

Brad Batson
Hometown: Biloxi, MS

Best song to sing while driving.
With Faye, "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" by Celine Dion. Alone, "La Vie Boheme" from RENT (I know every word and almost every meaning).

Probably slipping down in the parking lot at my high school when my mom was picking me up. I thought no one saw, but as I got into the car I heard an enormous roar of laughter coming from my classmates.

Your celebrity crush?
This is tough because I have so many. I love Britney Spears, and I want to be Chris Pine.

Freaky Friday

I've been having some strange dreams lately. For instance, Tuesday night I dreamed that 6 guys were playing touch football in my kitchen while I was trying to clean. Camera crews were everywhere...because it was the Superbowl.

Wednesday night I dreamed that as I was parking, my car wouldn't come to a complete stop. I was going less than a mile an hour and it bumped into the car across from my parking spot. I finally got my car to stop, but not before the other car was completely demolished. A girl ran out screaming at me and I told her I'd pay for it and she said, "damn right you will...that's a Land Rover." To which I said, "Umm...I drive a Land Rover, too. Don't be a snob." Then, my roommate Michael's car also got demolished. So he pulled a gun out of his pocket and shot another car...with a missile.

But Friday takes the cake. Last Friday, I had the strangest dream sequence I have ever experienced. I won't even try to interpret what it means, but by all means...if you know, please tell me.

I'm at my mother's house. I'm really, really thirsty. I grab the orange juice out of the fridge. I pour a big glass and down it. Still thirsty. I pour another glass and hear a "plop". I immediately throw my glass of orange juice onto the carpet. There's a rat. There was a rat in my orange juice. The kicker? It's alive. It starts chasing me and biting my arms and legs. I finally get away, get in my car and drive to Brad's. I'm panting. I'm crying. I'm trying to tell him about my awful experience. I notice there's a bloody rock on the porch. I ask Brad what happened. He says he needs my help. Then I notice Lindsay Lohan's body. Yep, he killed her. Brad killed Lindsay Lohan. As cars are driving by, he's trying to cover up the fact that we are stuffing her body into a box. I stop him and say "Brad. You just murdered someone. This is not a joke." To which he looks deeply in my eyes and sternly says, "No, we murdered someone." I freak out and leave. Next thing I know, I'm at a football game. But as a spectator, I'm not in the stands...I'm standing in the endzone. The only player I recognize is Rob Gronkowski. He keeps looking at the girl standing next to me. Then I notice she's wearing a homemade "I <3 Rob Gronkowski" shirt. She is also yelling things like, "Way to go Rob!" and "Let's go Gronkowski!" I ask her, "Is Rob your boyfriend?" She says, "No, but I follow him around a lot." I realize she's a stalker. Then, some Flava Flav looking rapper guy comes up and starts hitting on me. I say, "I know you're a famous rapper and all, but can this wait? I'm trying to watch the game." But it's not a game. These players, in their uniforms and helmets, are doing a dance routine. The rapper won't leave me alone so I go to the back of the endzone where there are chairs set up. I notice Danny DeVito is sitting in one. He's also passing out goody bags to everyone who comes up to talk to him. I go up to him and tell him that I love It's Always Sunny. He thanks me and hands me a goody bag. I open it. It is full of condoms and packets of ketchup. Then I wake up.

So yeah. That's what happens in my dreams.

The Perfect Date?

I've been asked more than once lately,

What is your idea of the perfect date?

Frankly, it depends. It depends where we are, what time of the year it is, how I feel. But mostly, it depends on who is taking me on said date...

Does he share my passion for music? Maybe a concert neither of us has seen.

Does he share my interest in sports? How about a sporting even we'd both enjoy.

Does he share my hobby of blogging? Well, in that case, we'd probably be a socially awkward pair and sit next to each other while chatting on our computers like Jake on that episode of Two and a Half Men where he liked that girl and made Charlie promise not to bang her mom, but of course, Charlie did anyway.

So yeah. It depends. What's your idea of the perfect date?

Chris Colfer - Golden Globes

I'm not necessarily a Gleek, but I'm obsessed with the character of Kurt Hummel. Chris Colfer is nothing short of fabulous and Kurt is just the same. He's such a brave, talented, and wonderful guy. He's definitely my favorite character on Glee, but probably my favorite character on television, as well.

Needless to say, I was thrilled when Chris won the Golden Globe award.

What a speech. Perfection.

Tom Brady, The Avett Bros, AND Mary-Kate?

Everyone is gushing about this fabulous three day weekend we're they're about to have. Yes, I'm off on Monday. But, we have a full work day tomorrow. Snow days aren't freebies. You gotta make em up somewhere. For us, it's Saturday.

The rest of my weekend will consist of watching the NFL playoffs and visiting with the BFF, Brad, who will be in Oxford in approximately 6 hours!

I was 1 for 4 in my picks last weekend. (Thank you for my 1, Green Bay.) So I'm just gonna skip the picks and cheer for my Pats. I really don't care about the other games anyway.

I'm absolutely obsessed with this song. You will be, too. Give it a listen.

There are a lot of fashion blogs out there. Waaaayyy out there. Not right here. Not anywhere close to here. I don't really know fashion. Just ask my friends.

For example, let me tell you what I'm trying to pass off as an outfit today:

brown leggings
an XL navy blue prom tshirt circa 2003
a men's red Polo pullover
a thick, navy blue, knit scarf
dressy casual brown knee high boots with an exposed red zipper
a messy kind of to the side pony tail
no makeup
oversized pearl earrings

Put a Starbucks in my hand and call me Ashley Olsen's twin....Mary-Kate.

Thank God for the SEC

College football has a special place in my heart. Well, the Southeastern Conference does, anyway.

My Ole Miss Rebels aren't always a showstopper, but hey, it is what it is.

Tomorrow night, the #1 ranked Auburn Tigers take on the Oregon Ducks for the BCS National Championship game.

I'll be cheering on Cam Newton (and the rest of the Auburn team) to win it.

5th National Championship in a row for the SEC? I'll take it.

Fayesbook's Sexiest Men Alive

In November, People magazine released their Sexiest Men issue, awarding the coveted title of Sexiest Man Alive to Ryan Reynolds.

 via People

Well, People, I disagree. While Ryan is extremely hot, I wouldn't go so far as to say he is the sexiest man alive...or even on the list. For, hot, handsome, cute...they are all completely different.

The first guys that come to mind when I think of these adjectives?

Jake Gyllenhaal
Tom Brady
Jensen Ackles

Jon Hamm
Thomas Gibson
Roger Federer

Matthew Gray Gubler
Joesph Gordon-Levitt
Chord Overstreet

But Sexy? Sexy is an attitude. It's an aura. And Ryan Reynolds isn't my definition of it.

So who are my Sexiest Men Alive?

5. Paul Walker

4. Shemar Moore

3. Adam Levine

2. Ben Affleck

Now, that is sexy. Ben Affleck would be my number 1 Sexiest Man Alive for as long as he is alive if I hadn't stumbled across this random Express model. So here you are. Fayesbook's Sexiest Man Alive....

Now somebody, find out who he is and set me up.

1. ??????

Who do you consider sexy? How about hot, handsome and cute?

If There is Ever a Movie About My Life...

1. I hope it's not a Lifetime movie.

2. I want Kristen Stewart to play me.

I like to pretend that we look alike. I love her style. Also, I love how awkward and clumsy she is, because it makes me feel better about myself.

I totally would have done this. Except I would have fallen down, too.

So, it's settled. She'll play me. Who would play you?

Also, Sophia Bush would play my sister and Sally Field would be my mom.

Get Outta Here 2010

2010...what a year. Now move along, I'm done with you.

Before I move on, though. Let me share a little something with you. My three biggest accomplishments last year:

1. I graduated college (in 4 years) and started my first big girl job.
 2. I partied like a celebrity, with celebrities.

3. I made a gay man seriously question his sexual orientation.

I have to say those are my top 3 favorite things about 2010.

I celebrated New Year's with these two handsome gentlemen. I'd tell you all the details but I don't remember want you to be jealous.

Now, for 2011. What do I hope to accomplish? What are my resolutions?

1. Save money. Lots and lots of money.

2. That one that everybody says.

I have these pictures of "skinny Faye" on my mirror as motivation. I'm not so much setting a weight loss goal, really. But I just want to move in that direction and not the direction of Gilbert Grape's mom.

3. No beer

This one will help with both 1 and 2. So that's good. I sure am gonna miss you, Miller Lite. We had a good run. But it's over now.

What did you love about 2010? And what are your New Years resolutions?
